Shreddage 3 Abyss takes the full set of over 10,000 meticulously recorded samples from Shreddage Bass 2 and places them inside the cutting-edge Shreddage 3.5 engine, offering improved realism, articulation handling, and tone customization.
Performed by master bassist Tony Dickinson, every note was captured through a Universal Audio Solo/610 tube preamp for maximum warmth, punch, and clarity. Each string was recorded in exhaustive detail across every fret, with up to 8x round-robins per note for organic, lifelike playback.
Starting at a floor-shaking drop A, this versatile bass covers everything from thunderous lows to articulate mids and crisp highs — perfectly suited for rock, metal, pop, funk, and jazz.
With Total Articulation Control Technology 2.0 (TACT), every articulation — from sustains and staccatos to harmonics, slides, hammer-ons, and pull-offs — can be customized, mapped, and triggered exactly how you prefer.
